List of dead bankers 2018 – conspiracy update

**Update March/April 2018 Changed the dates and included some more up-to-date references for the banker deaths. New deaths added. **Update October 2017 There was a number of deaths in 2017, most of them I picked up second hand. As I’ve said before, I try to stick to the main players. I’ve added the deaths for this year to the list. **Update October 2016 Yep. The list keeps growing. Just focusing on major players, or cases where ‘foul-play’ may be involved….

I caught up with Frank Dubbery at the London book…

Hue tour

Hue tour

Today took the $8 tour of Hue, as suggested by my hotel. This took in 5 paid for sites, 2 free sites and a cruise down the perfume river. The day started at 7.30am with a little breakfast, scrambled egg and a cup of tea. The pink bus is calling us… Shortly after 8am, a pink bus pulled up outside the hotel and beeped it’s horn. Looked something like this. We were paying $8 for the tour, but the entrance…

Ho Chi Minh to Huế

Ho Chi Minh to Huế

Spent 21 hours or so on the bus. Next to a crazy woman as it happens. She was about 60 odd – but mentally, like a puppy. I offered her some of my drink, which she pinched off me and drank. So I offered her another one. And she drank that. She then proceeded to start depositing money in my seat-back wallet which added up to a few dollars. No particular reason, just better there, I guess. As we got…

Hue by motorbike

Hue by motorbike

Yesterday, took a cheap motorbike (for $2), and made a tour of the city. Picked the bike up for cheap very close to my hotel, the Sunny Hotel, Hue. Didn’t seem like not worth doing for that price. Had a little ride around, over to the island, around the citadel. Then out of the city. Not a lot to impress really. Motorbikes are simple too stressful in SE Asian cities. It’s only a numbers game until someone smashes into the…

Cho Ray Hospital – The second coming

Cho Ray Hospital – The second coming

This time it was outside ‘Tet’ festival. This meant that the wonders of the ‘Foreign Patient’ wing were in operation. The hospital was a lot more busy, and when I visited the counter for service, I was ushered to this ‘Foreign Patient’ wing, instead of being put in with the Vietnamese. Foreign patients In the Foreign Patient wing, I was feeling pretty crook. I gave the lady my diagnoses from 3 days ago, documenting my problem and the prescription the…

Saigon outpatient

My arms and legs are aching. I feel drowsy and run down. Currently, I’ve only felt like eating chocolate wagon-wheel type things, although I may have a proper meal later. Tomorrow, I will go back to the hospital. I have a feeling that the drugs are very strong, but will not be effective to deal with the root cause. Related Posts Day 56 – Newquay to Lands End Last day. Vietnamese hospital

Cho Ray Hospital, Saigon – to be exact. Contacted them from my homestay, which was in Vinh Long, the woman let me borrow the phone. The woman spoke English and was very helpful in recommending some drugs that could give immediate relief. I took her suggestions to the pharmacy and they prescribed the drugs for 21,000 or $1. Took them back to my homestay, Ngoc Phoung. Sick I was in quite a lot of pain by this time and had…
