VOD: More Chinese baggage handlers

Those Chinese baggage handlers strike again….

‘If a job’s worth doing’ mentality clearly demonstrated in this gem of a video of a Chinese baggage handler in action captured by an Australian tourist.

Expect your luggage to be treated like this…

Looks like a China Airways logo in the foreground.

As you can see from the reactions on the Facebook post, netizens agree, your luggage will be handled in this way and you should pack accordingly.

The world’s most travelled man

Having done a fair bit of travel myself, I was interested today to find that the world most travelled man has visited 196 countries.

However, this does not include ‘enclaves’, ‘territories’ and ‘autonomous regions’ which bump the visitable list up to over 800.

Anyhow, here’s the story.

Donald Parrish is officially the world’s most-travelled person, having visited almost every destination on Earth. He is pictured here with Miss France 2006 Alexandra Rosenfeld, at the Meridien Hotel in the Congo

  • Retired technician Donald Parrish Jr, 70, has visited 840 destinations
  • He finished visiting each of the world’s 196 countries three years ago
  • Mr Parrish’s first overseas trip was to Mexico in 1957 at the age of 13
  • He could become the first person to visit each of the world’s 875 countries, territories, autonomous regions, enclaves, geographically separated island groups, and major states and provinces

YO! Map

Having been to a few sites. I’ve seen  lists of travellers who’ve been to countries, so I decided to do my own.

I’ve called it a YO! map, that being the feeling it gives me.

The red places are places I’ve visited and blogged. The blue places I’ve just visited,  take my word for it!

If you want to add your own place and picture, go right ahead!

54 Countries I’ve visited.

Chinese Hot Water

The Chinese firmly believe in hot water, or at least warm water. I’m not a great fan. I prefer mine chilled. Thankfully.

Visa for travel?

Looks like the woman at the Chinese embassy didn’t know what she was talking about and I actually DON’T have a valid visa for China.

Luckily, I’m one of those people that doesn’t believe what he’s told, and rather than chance it at the border, I decided to call it a day in SE Asia.

Leaving of Hanoi

Had a good look around this city. Seems a cool place – in many ways, not least because the weather was about 11 °C.

I took some photo’s and mooched the streets.

On many days it was raining, at least in the afternoon.

There are many places to eat in Hanoi. Perhaps too many.

Shopping is also good. There are many nick-nacks to be had. Prices are cheap, bargains can be struck and there is an abundance of other shops to try if the price doesn’t suit. Continue reading “Chinese Hot Water”
