Cycling – Brasov to Cartisoara

The easiest and most picturesque day of cycling so far.

Ascending for the first 20 miles out of Brasov, the rest was all down hill for almost 4 hours.

The wind was behind me as well. All very nice.

Cycling in the Carpathian Mountains

Had to stop at the supermarket to get dinner as the apartment in Cartisoara isn’t close to anywhere I can buy food.

Got a couple of beers, a pizza, some potato salad and a caramel cream dessert.

Felt really tired after eating. Went to bed. Woke up thirsty a few times drank a load of water and got up around 5am. Had some breakfast, porridge with a peach and yoghurt+ cup of coffee.

Just waiting for the sun to come up properly and I’ll be on my way.

Mountain climb

Today, we have to climb back up and over the Carpathian ridge.

For the initial part of the day, I’ll be climbing 7,225ft. This is about 18 miles of climbing, then for the rest of the day, downhill.

  1. Gorgeous scenery. An exhausting day ahead. It will be good to get to the top then enjoy the woosh down the mountain. X
