Located high in the hills where the birds and the bees are plentiful. It’s proximity to the heavens offer some great views out over the valley.

Served by a windy road, single lane, snake pass style.

Checked a restaurant for a beer and an omelet on the way back.
A beer, cheese omelet and baklava came to €5.

Bar Accommodation – Montenegro

Accommodation Problems

Temporarily solved.

Found a nice, fresh hotel in Bar. It’s been OK as a base for a little travelling without the stresses of finding accommodation at the end of the night.

The Hotel Princess is round the corner from the harbour.
Overlooking the breakwater and early morning sailing from Bari, Italy. Just as the sun comes up.

Rock falls on roads – Montenegro

Speeding is a danger in Montenegro due to the sheer amount of rockfall produced by the combination of basalt and limestone.

During the day this is less of a problem, but at night, if you experience a rockfall at high speed after a couple of beers you can expect the next bundle of flowers at the side of the road to be yours.

Rijeka Crnojevica – Montenegro

This village is advertised by guidebooks to be the best thing since sliced bread.

Do not expect sliced bread or a village. This is a hamlet with no shops, no commerce and no reason to visit.
I visited twice, once last night on the way to Podgorica, and again today on the way back.
