Not quite in the village as yet. Located out in the wilds.
Life is very quite here. I have the geese. The fields. The cows and the crows.

There’s the odd boater who stops beyond the bridge and the odd boater that stops with me here, before the locks.
There’s a fair bit of traffic coming through. That’s through from the marina, Cropredy Marina or the locks. Claydon.
A few every day. Weekends more busy.
It’s very peaceful here.

I actually moved down four weeks ago, but due to time restraints and some technical problems, haven’t got round to writing and uploading.
Fenny to Cropredy
Although people stop in between. It doesn’t appeal personally, to little mobile and solar. No roads. No shops. No nothing… Better to enjoy passing through…
Once onto the Claydon flight, which is 5 or 7 locks depending on how you look at it, you’re into Cropredy near enough, and that’s where I’ve stopped for the proceeding 2 weeks, just outside.

Local. Rural.
You’re out in the fields here.
There are no buildings nearby…
I get to the boat by walking down a bridleway, through a field full of bullocks, over a bridge and down onto the towpath.
Around lunch, I might have a little walk over the fields by re-joining the bridleway which go a hill, through some fields and right up to the locks. Claydon
Walking back through, I took these pictures.

It’s a nice walk, although you get your hips and bottom of your arms covered in yellow rape pollen! Smells nice though.
Cycling sunshine!

Yes, the sun is back. Went over to Warwickshire and somewhere I’d been before, but not for a long time.
The windmill has not changed much!
No-one up there, even on a Sunday afternoon commanding views of the plains. Over to Shipston-on-Stour. I was the only one there.
A steep climb.
It’s got a kind of a magic about it the old windmill. Difficult to place. It could be the views, or the nature or a combination of things which in a way makes it timeless. Like it had been hundreds of years ago.
Maybe longer.

Moving
Today my 2 weeks came due and I moved Bonnie.
In the winter, I might drag this out to 3, depending on how much I like my location and prevailing conditions.
I’ve not come far.
Just outside the village.
100 yards from the pub! 2 locks and just under a mile according to Garmin.

Still. It’s through 2 locks and by CRT standards, counts as a ‘move’.
More next time.
