Marrakech Medina
Was where I stayed this time in the return visit to Marrakech. So much nearer the nightlife and activity of the city.
The place I’ve got is ideal. It’s only a small hostel, but I was able to wheel my bike into my room!
It’s right in the Medina. All the shops and restaurants are close by. The hotel tanaga was the first one that popped up in booking. Really, I didn’t think too much about it. Having been to all the other cities, then coming back, it seemed like the natural thing to do, book somewhere near the Medina. If you don’t know anything, or you had a family or wanted a pool etc. Medina is quiter at night, there are no cars. It’s more authentic. It’s more the real Morocco.
Chilling in Marrakech
Just sorting out some bits and pieces. Had a wonder around the markets. Went to the airport. Supermarket. I’ve been observing Ramadan. Just because it seemed like a fun thing to do. Don’t miss eating lunch at all. Must confess. The French say lunch is the most important meal. Not the case here buddy! In fact it seems like a waste of time and money. I don’t doubt, at the start of my journey, I would have had difficulty coping, but as times gone on, I can pretty much get by on some cold drinks and a handful of nuts.
Back in your box
Packed my bags up. I’ve got a taxi early tomorrow morning.
Here’s the bike, all wrapped up and ready to go.
Au reviour!
So that’s it for this Morocco blog. Although I did plan to visit the other countries, (and I’ve actually got a flight back from Tunisia on Wednesday), there was plenty to see and do in Morocco in a month on a bike, and I could have done more.

What a lovely holiday. Really enjoyed the blog. You met some lovely people in Morocco and the weather was pretty good too. You’ll be home just in time for the nice April weather which is just around the corner for Easter. Have a pleasant and safe journey home x
