They’re all out there, and they’re there as mechanisms for the state to control the people.
So say Alex Jones, Louis Farrakhan, and Milo Yiannopoulos and Laura Loomer in varying degrees and with various different slants.
Facebook bans Alex Jones, Louis Farrakhan, Milo Yiannopoulos and Laura Loomer from it’s platforms
Now Facebook has deemed these people as ‘Dangerous’.
Technically, not in breach of Facebook’s TOS.
A Facebook spokesperson said that the company has “always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology.”
Unforunately, these people do not, and never have presented a clear and present danger to any individual.
The ban prohibits users from sharing content by any of these individuals, an action usually reserved for terrorists and self-proclaimed hate groups. From wired -“The company says that users will be prohibited from sharing Infowars videos, radio clips, articles, and other content from the site unless they are explicitly condemning the material. Fan pages or groups that reshare Infowars content in a sincere or appreciative manner won’t be permitted.”
Ironically, Milo Yiannopoulos once wrote a book called ‘Dangerous’. Now he’s been completely removed from the functionings of ‘polite society’ for his comments about the use of 13 year old boys in homosexual acts.
IMO, this is yet more evidence of the corraling of public opinion toward more mainstream ‘authority’ sources at the detriment of freedom of speech and diversity of opinion.
