Yangshou – Military Haircut

Yangshou – Military Haircut

Assumed a military style haircut in Yangshou for the knockdown price of 30p.

The old guy, I assume was military, gave me a face massage, which was nice.

Didn’t waste anytime with the scissors, seemed to prefer the cut-throat razor for some reason.

Yangshou

Yangshou.

A backpacker and traveller metropole.

Set in the village of Yangshou offers boating, mountaineering, absailing around the rocky outcrops. The usual backpacker stuff.

A good market stall selection on West Street.

The fact that it had neither broadband or airport meant it was unsuitable as a business traveller.

If you take the Li Valley River cruise, you will be taking a bus back from here, no doubt, and you’ll probably wish you were a backpacker again.

Guillin – Li River Cruise

Guillin – Li River Cruise

The highlight of any visit to Guillin is the Li River cruise.

Classic Chinese scenes are based on landscapes around this area.
As you can see below we have a classic granite/porous rock based on the precipitation and erosion caused by rainfall causing the majority the of land formations.

Very little glaciation.

The river itself is very shallow.

Inspiring.

The cruise cost virtualy nothing, you get lunch like a banquet, a free bottle of beer and the chance to meet and mingle with other European types.
