Which is just the right distance. Took about 5-6 hours. Straight through. I had a late start in Wallingford due to trying to achieve some things on the computer.
After going down to Waitrose to get milk and finishing up the videos and stuff it was getting on for 11.

Instead of stopping for lunch, I decided to make a sandwich and just eat it when I was hungry. Save messing around.

Henley
After a full day sailing, taking in Reading, I arrived in Henley about 19.40. So, getting late.

Henley had just had the Rewind Festival, and the remnants were still apparent both on the banks of the Thames and the number of boats moored up on the community mooring at Mill Meadows.
The stern gland was leaking slightly which meant water was coming in around the prop-shaft housing and filling up the engine bay area.

Not much of a problem, just tightened the housing nuts with a spanner, probably about a full turn in all and the leaking stopped.
Had a spot of dinner I’d cooked from the night before, then went down to the Angel pub to use their internet. The connection in Henley was abysmal.

Had to get going early in the morning as I was moored in an ‘undesignated’ mooring spot :/
And that’s what I did.

Water in the engine bay….that must have been scary…..but you soon fixed that..whew. The scenery is fantastic. Where does the Grand Union meet the Thames?
Not really.
When it’s coming in off the prop shaft it’s something you expect.
