Ipod 3g Free Games

Ipod 3g Free Games

anodiaAfter some exhaustive searching, I’ve turned up several free games for my iPod 3g.
I don’t want to feel that the Chinese are the only people that can spend their spare time poking touchscreen devices. I can join in too.

It’s an older version, with an older operating system. Most of the new apps don’t work so well.

Here’s a list of free apps that work on the iPod 3g.

Games

  • Mahjong Elements: Natty little game where you have to match the multi-coloured squares. Has some nice additions like achievements and timed games with prizes for quick thinking. Free iPod Game
  • Flight Control Rocket: Steer your rocket to it’s home on the intergalaticon space base. Each rocket needs to be steered to the appropriate coloured base. No crashing! Nice touches. Easy to play and fun. Free iPod Game
  • Castle Kingdom: Build a little castle and make it your own. Conquer the other castles and make them your own too. Free iPod Game
  • Anodia: Another free game for the older ios 4.2.1. Like breakout. It’s kind of an old concept. If you remember that Atari that is. This game has had more re-births than the Dalai Lama. You should try.

Utilities

  • Battery Magic Probe
  • Wifi
  • FAAD (FreeAppADay)
  • Pandora
  • TuneIn Radio Pro
  • Appzilla
  • Skype
  • TextFree (with Voice)
  • Speedtest.net
  • Recorder Pro
  • Atomic Web Browser
  • Download+
  • Bump

I’ll be adding to this list more in the future. I plan to get a new phone or some such when the time comes.

For the moment, I’m going to stick with the iPod, and keep playing these free games.

Hong Kong Spring Elecronics Fair

Hong Kong Spring Elecronics Fair

So noticed this going on and went to have a look.

Hong Kong Electronics fare 2013
Hong Kong Electronics fare 2013

It was located in the Wan Chai exhibition center. A seven story building looking across the bay of the Hong Kong harbor. Having had a look around, I had a word with the entrance organiser and managed to get this ‘Press’ pass, (on account of my sizable blog).

The fair was the largest in Asia, attracting thousands of exhibitors.
I spent a number of hours just walking round.

Lots to see and lots to do. Most of it was aimed at the retailer, although there were sections more for manufacturing or OEM operations. When asked, I told people I was from CNET, and was looking to check out the best new gadgets and appliances from the Hong Kong region.

This was an ideal blag and won me many Chinese friends!

Bluejoy Shenzen

Got some bluetooth headphones from a company in Shenzen. The girl, Alice showed them to me and they worked nicely and looked good. I’ve never been a fan of wires dangling all over the place and these seemed the ideal solution.

I’ll tell you how they work out and if they were worth the money.

Aquired – New Z-visa

Aquired – New Z-visa

As promised, the agency have provided me with a fresh visa.

This time, it’s a z-visa…

The visa itself is only valid for 1 month and one entry. However, I can present these visa to the local government officials at the locality I’m staying in, and they will provide me with a Residents Permit.

Residents permit

A Chinese residents permit allows:

  • Multiple entries.
  • Residence for 12 months.

I have something known as Foreigner Residence Permit application. Other residence application permits include Permanent and Temporary Residence permit which last for 10 years and 6-12 months respectively.

Fishing in Luijiang River

Fishing in Luijiang River

Couple reap the benefits of nice Chinese river….

They’re fishing for winkles. There are many waterways in and around Kunshan. I guess the people still like the traditional foods.

Personally, I’m a little skeptical about goods emanating from this fine waterway. Especially bottom feeders like the old winkle. I’m aware of what goes into this river. The odd pig, and whatnot. Maybe a chicken or two. I think I even saw a poo floating in there the other day…

Maybe I should let these people know.

What do you think?

Missed plane

Missed plane

Had a little lunch with one of my pupils.

Things must have got drawn out, and I ended up missing my flight to Hong Kong.

As even more of a bummer, my boss transferred enough money for the trip. Went to the China Bank atm. Pulled my card out, having been over 1 month since I used it, plus the fact I only used it once, plus the fact that it’s a 6 digit code. I’ve entirely forgotten my PIN!

SO that money is useless. It’s going to remain unspent.

This has landed me in some financial difficulties. Not a new thing. I won’t have much money, just enough to eat and stay in. Standard life in Hong Kong for me.

New Flight

The new flight cost me about £160. Visa cost £110. I’ve got £40 in cash and £100 in my account from the UK.

Pudong on the Metro

Pudong is a long way out. For those hoping to take the metro out there, it’s 16 stops from Peoples Square.

Turns out I’m going to have to transfer money from the UK and be skint again in Hong Kong. I guess you get used to it.

z-visa checklist

z-visa checklist

These are the things you need to get your Z-visa. In this case, I’m visiting the protectorate, Hong Kong.

  • Passport: – At least 3 spare pages.
  • Experts certificate.
  • Invitation letter: – Obtained from your employer.
  • Medical examination: – Get this IN CHINA. One from anywhere else isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Don’t let anyone tell you any different.
  • Completed v2011A – Fill in your forms!
  • Completed v2011B

Without all of these, plus your fee, you won’t be getting a work permit, or residents permit.

I usually use the Sunrise agency, and I have this time.
