Chinese nap in IKEA store

One branch of Ikea, Beijing, China has introduced new rules that forbid store visitors from sleeping on showroom sofas and beds, but the rule is proving hard to enforce, the Beijing Youth Daily reported Monday.

The world’s largest furniture retailer introduced the rule because many customers, both adults and children, have been sleeping in stores, creating a scene and affecting the experience of other customers.

Once renowned for its laid-back stance on slumbering shoppers, Ikea is now taking a stern approach to stop the masses of people who frequent the store solely to avail themselves of the comfortable bedding and air-conditioning, with no intention of buying anything. UK company creates Zombie-Proof shed

The end is nigh. Many of us are aware of this, it’s just in what shape it grabs us.

This is a solution for those who suspect they may eat, sorry, meet their end at the hands of the undead in the form of Zombie Apocalypse, (a subject that has been playing on everyone’s minds).

This savvy British company has seen the niche in the market, and with full research and patents pending, moved in there to corner the market.

A welcome addition to any des-res, it’s your own zombie-proof shed! Prices start at around £70,000 and can be embellished to include additional features, (which will obviously protect you and your loved ones better).

Remember where you read it first.

Whether or not the company would actually honour an order for the zombie cabin remains to be seen, but there are already a number of reviews on their website from happy customers – and a couple of disgruntled zombies.

A sailor who spent two months lost at sea has been rescued after apparently surviving on raw fish and rainwater.

Louis Jordan, 37, was found by a passing German tanker 200 miles off the North Carolina coast on Thursday.

His 35-foot sailboat had overturned and Mr Jordan was sitting on the hull, from where he was hoisted to safety.

His family reported him missing at the end of January, and when his father spoke to him after the rescue, he said: “I thought I lost you.”

Russia threatens …. Nuclear force

FYI

Taken from picturesdotnews.

Russia has threatened to use “nuclear force” to defend its annexation of Crimea and warned that the “same conditions” that prompted it to take military action in Ukraine exist in the three Baltic states, all members of Nato.

According to notes made by an American at a meeting between Russian generals and US officials – and seen by The Timesnewspaper – Moscow threatened a “spectrum of responses from nuclear to non-military” if Nato moved more forces into Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

The Russians told the meeting, which took place in Germany last month, that an attempt to return Crimea to Ukraine would be met “forcefully including through the use of nuclear force”.

And they said if Nato sent arms to Ukraine this would be seen as “further encroachment by Nato to the Russian border” and “the Russian people would demand a forceful response”.
